The English major fosters skills in critical analysis, independent thinking, creativity, research, and writing. Students take core courses in literary analysis, literary history, language, creative writing, and focused research.

Students in this major work closely with faculty and their peers in small classes and prepare for careers after graduation with access to experiential learning through our internship program, Study Abroad, and preparation for graduate study.

Every day is a new adventure at Holy Family University. I'm always learning something new about my field of study. At Holy Family University, I had the chance to study abroad in Finland and Sweden. That trip was my first time out of the country. It truly was an incredible experience and simply life-changing.
