Orientation - New Student Checklist

Welcome New Tigers!

We are excited to welcome you into our family this upcoming semester! As you prepare to become part of the HFU community, here are the next steps you will need to complete once we receive your deposit:

Right After Deposit – January 2026

• Confirm Financial Aid information
• Register for Classes (spring registration opens October 30, 2025)
• Apply for On-Campus Housing
• Set Up Proxy Access (optional)
• Connect with Accessibility Services (if applicable)
• Select your Meal Plan
• Complete required Student Agreement & User Profile Agreement
• Connect with important IT Services (email, Self-Service, Canvas)

December 2025 – January 2026

• Register for Tiger Immersion/Launch Day Orientation Events (January 8)
• Register for a Parking Permit
• Email photo for Student ID/Tiger Tag to hfuid@holyfamily.edu
• Download & sign up for the LiveSafe App
• Pay your spring bill (due December 15)

January 2026: Final Prep Week

• Arrange to have final high school/college transcripts sent to HFU (including any transcripts for dual enrollment credit).
• Submit your Health Packet
• Buy/rent textbooks
• Living on campus? Move-In Day is January 12! (you will get details from Residence Life)
• Pick up your Tiger Tag/ Student ID (if not done at orientation)
• Register to use fitness & Esports Centers

January 8, 2026

Register & attend Tiger Immersion/Launch Day (Noon – 4 p.m.)

January 12, 2026: First Day of Class

• Be familiar with your schedule, building locations, and arrive early to settle in confidently.
• Ask for help if needed—staff will be around to assist!

Please note: Holy Family University will be closed December 24 - January 1. Offices will reopen on January 2, 2026.
