Assistant Professor of Psychology

The School of Arts and Sciences invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Psychology, with a start date of August 2023. The employee must understand and embrace the mission of Catholic higher education and must commit to the mission, goals, and objectives of Holy Family University in word and deed.

The successful candidate should have demonstrated excellence in teaching higher education. Although the area of specialization is open, the department seeks a candidate who will be able to teach classes in the core curriculum of the psychology program. It is also expected that the successful candidate will maintain a commitment to excellence in teaching, diversity, scholarship, and service.

Duties & Responsibilities (not all inclusive)

  • Teaching courses in an array of foundational courses in psychology
  • Advising and mentoring students
  • Research/scholarship mentoring and supervision
  • Participation in school- and university-wide committees and initiatives 

Qualifications 

  • Candidates must hold a PsyD or PhD degree in psychology (or a closely related field) by the start date (ABD will be considered as long as the degree is conferred by the start date)
