A Message from the President

Dear Holy Family University Alumni and Friends,

Holy Family University is at an inflection point in our storied history. Building on the solid foundation set forth by the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth, we are embarking on a transformational path so that Holy Family will continue to provide students with academic excellence at an affordable cost in a campus environment that is welcoming, inclusive, and values-based.

With educational excellence at the forefront, we have identified a set of philanthropic initiatives designed to ensure that our students are equipped with the resources and tools to be successful inside and outside the classroom and that they are prepared with the knowledge and skills to succeed in today’s workforce.

These initiatives are designed to amplify our impact in Northeast Philadelphia and Newtown, Bucks County, showcasing the strength of the Holy Family University brand in ways that ensure we remain competitive in the marketplace as we serve key audiences.

Holy Family is uniquely from the community and for the community. Our students, faculty, and staff live here, they go to school and teach here, and they pour their knowledge back into their communities. As an anchor institution, Holy Family University holds a truly unique value proposition for the future of the Northeast and Bucks County, and indeed, greater Philadelphia.

For 70 years, Holy Family University has been a place where students from all backgrounds explore their futures and emerge as leaders able to navigate a rapidly changing society. Therefore, we must do our part to ensure that this mission continues to inspire and elevate those we serve for another 70 years and beyond.

We cannot achieve our ambitious goals without your help. To this end, we invite your partnership on our path to the future. Our agenda is critical and forward thinking, and with your support and that of many others, we are confident that together we can attain the next-level changes our community deserves and ensure that Holy Family’s legacy of excellence continues for generations to come.

Thank you for all that you do on behalf of Holy Family University.

Onward & upward together in faith & family,

Anne Prisco, Ph.D.
President

Holy Family Hall Welcome Center

Holy Family Hall, the University’s oldest and most iconic building, is undergoing a major renovation—the largest on-campus project since 2005. The nearly 10,000-square-foot addition will feature a modern glass facade connecting Holy Family Hall to the Nurse Education Building. This new student services hub will centralize key offices like Admissions, Financial Aid, and Advising, creating a welcoming, one-stop space for student support, collaboration, and community-building.

Newtown West Campus

Holy Family University is launching a new Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at its Newtown West campus to support students, professionals, and local businesses. The Center will offer programs in Life Sciences and Biotechnology, Cybersecurity and AI, and Nursing and Healthcare, featuring advanced labs, simulation spaces, and industry partnerships. This initiative strengthens Holy Family’s role as an anchor institution in Bucks County.

Metz Family Fieldhouse

The Metz Family Fieldhouse will transform Holy Family’s athletic facilities by adding essential locker rooms for home and visiting teams, an athletic training room, game-day concessions, and public restrooms for students, families, and fans. Located at the heart of campus near the Athletic Complex, this new facility will also serve the broader community, supporting wellness, recreation, and social engagement. As Holy Family Athletics continues to expand—with 19 varsity programs, national recognition for academic excellence, and Philadelphia’s first collegiate women’s flag football team—the Fieldhouse is a critical investment in the future of our student-athletes and the University community.

Center for Nursing Simulation and Clinical Training

Expanding access to nursing education and advancing training methods are key to meeting the demands of today’s healthcare environment. New programs, including a certified nurse assistant (CNA) certificate, complement existing BSN, MSN, and DNP offerings and support a diverse pipeline of nursing professionals. Investments in simulation labs provide hands-on, real-world learning experiences in safe, controlled environments—helping students build critical skills before entering clinical settings.

Scholarships

Scholarships are one of the most effective ways to make a direct, immediate, and lasting impact on the lives of Holy Family University students — learn more about Scholarships.

Tiger Completion Scholarships

Tiger Completion Scholarships support students who are on track to graduate but face unmet financial need and modest tuition balances that threaten their ability to stay enrolled. These targeted scholarships help remove financial barriers, allowing students to focus on their education and persist through to graduation. Gifts toward retention make an immediate and personal impact, empowering students to complete their degrees and build a strong future.

Annual Scholarships

An annual scholarship provides immediate financial assistance to our students. Annual named scholarships can be established with a minimum gift of $5,000, payable over five years. Larger commitments allow the University to provide aid to more than one student annually. They are designed with a multi-year commitment to ensure committed support to our students during their academic tenure.

Endowed Scholarships

Endowed scholarships provide sustainable support in perpetuity. An endowed scholarship fund provides annual income that supports the awarding of scholarship support each year. An endowed scholarship can be established with a minimum gift of $25,000, payable over five years. A distinguished endowed scholarship can be created with a $50,000 gift, also payable over five years. Gifts to endowed scholarships are invested as part of the university’s wider portfolio. Each year, per university spending policy, a percentage of these funds are used to provide student scholarships and any additional yield.

Tigers Take Care Emergency Fund

The Tigers Take Care Emergency Fund supports Holy Family students facing unexpected financial hardships that could disrupt their academic progress. Administered by the Office of the Dean of Students, the fund helps cover essential non-tuition expenses like food, textbooks, laptops, and transportation. With centralized oversight and a formal application process, the program ensures timely support for students in need. Alumni and donor contributions play a vital role in sustaining this impactful initiative.
