Position Summary

The School of Education invites applications for a full-time Director of Field Placement to begin December 2025. We seek a dynamic individual to serve as the University’s primary point of contact for all teacher certification program activities that require a supervised field experience. The Director works to ensure that placements are in compliance with state regulations and program requirements. This role involves performing all of the duties of the field placement office and acts as a clearinghouse for information on field placement processes for students and faculty.

All employees are expected to understand the mission of Catholic higher education and to support the core values, mission, goals and objectives of Holy Family University.

Responsibilities

  • Field Placement Coordination and Processing
  • Supervision and Training of Field Supervisors
  • Program and Information Management for all Areas of Field Placement
  • Organize Orientations and Plan Meetings and Events for Student Teachers
  • Foster academic excellence in the classroom

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Master's in Education or a related field.
  • Five (5) or more years in higher education or K-12 administration.
  • Five (5) or more years as a classroom teacher.
  • Three (3) or more years’ experience in field placement, either on the higher education or placement side (Preferred).
  • PDE State Teacher Certification (Required or Preferred).
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic Social Teaching
