What is Orientation?

Orientation is a day-long event for new incoming freshmen. The Campus Life & Leadership Office and current students work all year long to plan and prepare for our incoming students. At Orientation, you will be assigned into a group with an Orientation Leader. Throughout the day you will get a chance to meet with the Dean of your School, other new students, current students, and various offices on campus, which offer support services for you. Breakfast and Lunch will be provided. Registration and breakfast begin at 7:30 AM and the required sessions end at 3:30 PM. We will also have optional sessions in the afternoon, including a Resource Showcase and affinity groups for our Students of Color, LGBTQ+ Students, and Students who are first in their family to attend college. In the affinity groups, you will be able to meet students, staff, and faculty who can answer any questions you may have about what it is like to attend Holy Family. We are all very excited to share our campus with you!

When is Orientation?

We will have three available days for Orientation and each student is able to choose, which day they want to attend. Spots are first come, first serve, and spots fill up quickly. Sign up as soon as you can! 2017 Summer Orientation dates are July 21, July 28, and August 11.

Can I bring my family?

Each student is able to bring two guests with them to Orientation. Your guests can be parents, guardians, or anyone else who helps to support and guide you through your college career. These guests will go through a separate Orientation schedule.

What happens if I cannot attend any of the Orientation dates?

If you were not able to attend the New Student Orientation, Tiger Tags can be picked up in the Education and Technology Center (ETC) Room 105. After you have received your Tiger Tag, you can register your card with security and obtain a parking permit. Every car parked on campus needs a parking pass with the exception of one time visitors. For more information contact campus security at 267-341-3361.

As you embark on a new life path, we would like to begin by welcoming you to Holy Family University. We look forward to sharing our University mission, core values, and expectations during your initial orientation.
