Orientation: Time/Schedule

Orientation activities end at 8:30 pm. If you are anticipating needing to leave early, please please contact us at This email address is being protected from spambots. Registration starts at 4:30 pm with the official welcome at 5:00 pM. If you are anticipating being late, please contact us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. so we can make sure you get all the appropriate information (Ex: schedule, registration folder, etc.).

Orientation Registration begins at 4:30 pm in the Campus Center and the first session begins at 5:00 pm. There will be informational sessions and activities throughout the evening with a dinner period. Both students and their guests will be in session until 8:30PM. There is the option for students to attend affinity group sessions (Students of Color, LGBTQ+ Students, and Students who are First in their Family to attend college). These optional sessions will occur between 8:40 pm and 9:00 pm.

Throughout the day you will get a chance to meet with the Dean of your school, other new students, current students, and various offices on campus like Financial Aid and Security, which offer support services for you. Dinner will be provided. We will also have optional sessions, including affinity groups for our Students of Color, LGBTQ+ students, and Students who are first in their family to attend college. In the affinity groups, you will be able to meet students, staff, and faculty who can answer any question you may have about what it is like to attend Holy Family.

If you are not able to attend the Student Orientation, Tiger Tags can be picked up at the Education and Technology Center (ETC) Room 105. After you have received your Tiger Tag, you can register your card with security and obtain a parking permit. Every car parked on campus needs a parking pass with the exception of one time visitors. Winter 2018 Orientation is on Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 4:30 - 9:00 pm.

Orientation: Food

Yes, each student is able to bring two guests. As long as they are properly registered, their food is free, as well. Registration is necessary to ensure there is enough food for everyone.

No, it's free! There will be gluten-free and vegetarian options.

Orientation: People/Guests

Each student is able to bring two guests with them to orientation. Your guests can be parents, guardians, or anyone else who helps to support and guide you through your college career.

Students will be provided with any items they need for the day. We want to encourage students bring any items they need that are essential to their daily life: medications, sunscreen, sunglasses, inhaler, etc.
Absolutely! We want all incoming students to meet other incoming students along with current Holy Family student leaders to start building connections before the start of classes in the fall. In fact, at orientation, you will be assigned into a group with an orientation leader and other incoming students.

Orientation is a great first step to your journey at Holy Family University. We encourage all incoming students attend orientation to build relationships with other incoming students, current students, faculty, and staff at Holy Family. It is very highly recommended that you attend Orientation.

Yes! The bookstore will be open from 9:00 AM until 6:00 PM on days of Orientation.

Yes! Campus Security will process the requests for parking passes throughout the day and have them available for pick up at the end of the Orientation program.
